nice composition but I think you needed some more light on him and to remove some of the redness on his face.

The dog is engaging with him, and he is engaging with the dog, but neither of them are engaging with the photographer. I can't see the eyes of the boy so I am getting no expression. There are to many shadows and all the crinkles of the backdrop are distracting. 5

Hehe, someone wants some attention. My dog does that all the time too.

Overall, a cute shot. The blacks are potentially too dark, as there seems to be a loss of detail.
