Getting my first entry of the DPL season in under the wire. There was an international balloon sculpture competition in Dallas on Sunday, so I knew it would be a last minute entry for me. Despite some awesome subjects, It was a difficult place to shoot in. Very crowded, lots of small children around, and dim light all gave me a lot of throwaways from this session. It was hard to isolate the sculptures from the convention center background, so I concentrated primarily on closeups. Did get a few keepers.
Anticipated critiques:
-Too much tilt to subject
-Shallow DOF
Post-challenge notes:
At least it came in over a 5. Thought it was worth a bit better, but don't we all think that?

Nice composition and use of colors, I just wish the edges of the yellow balloon were a bit more in focus, I like the blur of the background so its a fine line but if you had gotten a bit more separation between the two it would have helped.
