I'm amazed to find myself here on the home page for the second week running. This time I'm basking in the reflected light of such DPC luminaries as scalvert and Dudski - very flattering.
Thanks everyone for the votes and comments.
About the picture:
When I visualised this picture I imagined a more idealistic leaf, shot from a lower angle but sometimes you are limited by circumstances. All the leaves I could find around and about were either rotting or too tatty. I ended up using a house plant leaf which was way too green and healthy so I changed the colour using 'hue and saturation' in PS. The leaf is held up with toothpicks and poster putty (I'd be lost without them!)The ripple was produced by water dropping from a sponge. The lighting was sunlight and a reflector. The water is only 1/4 inch deep, hence the (troubling) double reflection.
The score seemed to hover around 6.8 all week.

This was one of my favorites of the challenge. An excellent capture. For some reason, I'm worried the 2nd shadow may detract for some. It didn't bother me at all, but it's the kind of thing DPC voters will look to nitpick at times. Well done.
