...ok...I know it's out of focus. It's not a flaw, it's a choice. For those that may not realize this, or even for those that refuse to embrace this notion...some photographers intentionally use blur, be it via optic, movement, what have you. It is a creative choice/mechanism that can be used to imply meaning, mood, atmosphere with out being hit over the head with the crispy sharpened obvious.
Please stop thinking those of use who use blur don't know how to use our cameras. Quite the opposite is true. You can like it, or not like. It makes no difference to me...but please stop thinking it's a flaw or something wrong...it's not. It's just not your taste.
:D
Thanks for all the comments everyone! And 12th place with a 5.6, whoda thunk it!

I meant to comment earlier to let you know I really loved this photo and gave it one of my higher scores. I love how it gleams with soft light and color.
THought this maybe yours Rachel. Got a 10 from me anyway. It is beautiful. I also just got a kick reading your photog comments from during the challenge. Made me smile.
This is by far my favourite from this challenge... by far! Wonderful light and composition. Absolutely fantastic job with this, and most definitely the most under appreciated image in this challenge.
This got a 10 from me, i love the softness and clean feel, the colours all melding. The most tasteful but provocative in this challenge. Shocked at all those 1 through 4's
I stand by my first comment on this page during the challenge. 12th is great, but it should have been much higher. Take comfort in knowing this shot has fans. Great job. :)
My lowest rated image for this challenge. Without changing composition, here are a few things you could have done differently to have gotten a better score from me.
Focus - The only place that appears to be in focus is a small spot on the wall. Even if heavy bokeh is what you are going for, your subject (the lingerie) should be in sharp focus. It should stand out so that there is no doubt it is the subject of your photo.
Color - It's a bit flat. A quick adjustment to the contrast and the image would have a lot more pop to it.
Shutter speed - I suspect this was your number one problem. It is way too slow. A faster speed and the image would be less washed out and the details would be sharper.
Your composition is good. With a few tweaks to camera and a few nudges in post it has a lot of potential. Hope this feedback was helpful.
There is something about this that I like very much. The light color and texture of the wall, the depth of field and focus that puts most of your attention on the bra, and the almost mystical glow (like afterglow) of light that highlights the under garment and also leads you to the bed. A bit sultry, A bit romantic, and a bit mystical all at the same time. Nice control over the highlights as well. I also like the window light sets off the fragile detail of the bra. Well done. 9
