Nice high key shot. Could you have done something to increase the DOF and get the eye on the right as sharp as the other one?

That left eye, the closer eye, should be the one in sharper focus. I do like the high key effect, but think that the shadows present should be darker to help define and balance the composition. My two cents.

this kid has wonderful eyes but that spot between his eyebrows is very distracting
