After a very bumpy ride over the glacier Myrdaksjokull with a group of experienced drivers I enjoyed the beautiful sight of a volcanic eruption. A sight never to be forgotten! What a privilege to experience something like this. The sounds and the forces of nature will stay in my mind forever.
The picture is almost right from the camera. Just a little crop to remove some smoke and “curves and sharpening”.

Thar she blows (again, and again, and again!). My goodness we've seen a lot of this place recently. Although I have to say this is now my favorite of this location thus far. Catching the helicopter at just the right moment, AND having great detail in the lava plume (or whatever it's called), is very nice. Good luck in the challenge.
