One of the "Traveling Man" sculptures just outside of downtown Dallas. I was a few yards away when I noticed the airliner coming in overhead and realized it might make for an interesting shot. I quickly ran back under the sculpture and fired off about 3 shots. This one had the plane positioned just right.
I have no feel as to how well this will do in the freestudy. It's different, which can either give it a boost, or doom it to the 4's. It did get enough attention on Flickr that I hope it should at least be good for a mid pack finish. On the other hand, my wife thinks it is the best out of what I showed her, which is usually the kiss of mediocrity. I'm now going to quit second guessing the voters, which is an impossible task, and enter it because I like it myself.
Anticipated critiques:
-Can't think of anything offhand, but someone will find a flaw.
Post challenge notes:
Spent most of the challenge floating in the 5.8-5.9 range. Shot up over 6 in the last few hours of voting. A 6+ in a freestudy is still a rare treat for me, so I'm very very happy with this.

Excellent!! I really like this and pp on this as well. Yo Spiff? - wild guess. Sky is great but the plane just ad the touch to this for me and the symbolism in it
Looks familiar. I like the POV and composition. Good DOF. Nice timing (or waiting) to get the jet in the "arms" of the sculpture. Good luck on the voting.
