 My first try at B&W, not much hope. Sharpened, cropped, played around with the channel mixer's RGB, Resize, Border, Unsharp mask, Save for web.

The elephants know that the water in the cement dam is cleaner than the waterhole, so they always try to get their water there first.

OK the things I love first. I love the detail...You can see every wrinkle and crease. It really is a good pose.(I know you really didn't have control over that one). I don't think that this image would look right in color.

OK I do see one thing that I would have tied to get rid of and that is noise. There seems to be some on the top of the pic.

The eye looks so sad. Very nice photo and the b&w works well. Something funny is happening around the mouth (on my laptop monitor) that may have been the result of some post processing. Good luck.
