This was probably my favourite of the abstracts. It's a wonderful painterly like image, reminiscent of Monet, which I think for a photography is an outstanding accomplishment!
Looking over the comments I see I'm not the first person to make that comparison.
I personally like the abstract catalog idea, and I think this is truly lovely. Could you please give details on how it's done? I'd love to do this kind of shot, but I don't seem to have much luck with it... 9
WOW, what a great idea--product shots for a catalog of abstract art! I love it!
I have voted 8 on most of the abstract catalog entries including this one. Four of them I thought were stunning abstracts so I gave them 10s.
I understand that some people are upset about this set of entries. One of the important functions of contemporary art is to raise issues and push boundaries. This often gets people upset. Hang in there!
And another collusury non-product product shot. This idea of the image itself as the product, I can't seem to make fit the challenge. Additionally, I feel as though I now need to vote otwards a collective instead of an individual submission. I think this was a poor idea to team up for submissions on this challenge. I try to vote the images independently, but it is difficult when they are submitted as a team.
Very impressionist, handled quite nicely. If the intent was to evoke impressionistic flowers, I would have gone with something a littler bolder in terms of colour, and a little more faceted with contrast. Nice nonetheless. 6
