Challenge:Shadows VI (Basic Editing) Camera:Leica D-Lux 4 Location: Home Date: Mar 9, 2010 Aperture: f2.0 ISO: 100 Shutter: 1/15 sec Date Uploaded: Mar 9, 2010
Had this idea of an alien ship landing and the landing lights were very bright and were aimed in different directions. I didn't have 3 light sources that were good enough for what I imagined. I then thought about using the multiple exposure setting my my Leica D-LUX 4 camera. It takes up to 3 exposures and combines them together into one image in the camera. It worked great! I used an led flashlight with a different position for each exposure to cast the shadows.
Processing:
Had to adjust exposure in LR
increased black levels which brought in the dark on the outside
cropped
increased contrast to further darken the outer edges
Sharpened with USM in PS
Brighten the whole image
Adjusted levels both dark and light
