 Yes, this is how tea is served in Erzurum, eastern Turkey (picture was taken in Ankara!)
Tea is kept relatively warmer until served.
Of course, you have to turn it upside down to be able to drink.
Color balanced for more red.

I think a different angle to remove the bright background would help improve this shot.

Ok, it took me too long to figure out what this showed. Too much busy background, but a nice idea. Try it on a solid background.

the idea is good, but the backgroud (the white border behind the glass) distracts.
