Looking down a stairway in the Las Colinas business district of Irving, Texas. This area is very popular with wedding photographers, and our Flickr meetup group ended up getting in their way a few times despite our efforts to be considerate. This stairway is particular was being heavily used for portraits, and I had to clone out a tripod that was sitting on the pavement outside the stairwell.
Interestingly, this very old-world looking staircase has a modern tram-rail running directly overhead, which is where I was shooting from.
Anticipated critiques:
-Overprocessed
-I expect someone to recognize the location as the same one I used in last year's "Image Grain" challenge. (It did well for me in that one, I'm curious to see if the same scene with a different approach will do well.
Post-challenge notes:
Did well enough and in my happy zone. I had hopes that this would do a much higher average, as the b/w version of my earlier shot of this pulled a 6+.
You can never predict broad appeal. Well, at least I can't. I still like what I did with this one.
