I tried for a couple of hours, tooks several hundered photos and could not get the blocks to line up and be in the same focal plane. In the end I just dropped them onto the speaker. If anyone does not think the D70 has shutter lag try to take pictures of falling objects;)

Well the idea is nice yet I find it strange you would go to so much effort to try and get the final image just so without even wiping the dust off the speaker!
i have taken many pictures of falling objects and water splashes and i can say with confidence that d70 has no shutter lag that is noticable by a human...good picture
u did an awesome job i dont have any complaints because how could someone complain about something that probably took forever to get right wow ur good...lol...i know i wouldnt have been able to do it!!!
that is the koolest thing ive seen in months. (ive gone through a lot of photography website galleries[deviantart, here..more..].. so.. its pretty kool)
i love it. *ponders how you did it*
This is great - but the shutter speed is too fast - a little bit more motion implied through some blur would give people a better sense of the beads bouncing to the sound (I assume thats whats happening here).
Super idea and excellent shot. Meets the challenge and has a lot of humor...really like this one. Might be better if the shot had not had the white area in the upper left.
Very cool, I think you will ribbon with this one. Love to know how you got the shot. I like the idea, I like the execution, I even like the odd framing. My only critique is I wish it were a teensy bit sharper.
I feel that my previous voting method was perhaps a bit too critical for this event.
This site's group is full of promising talent, and I would like to encourage that, and therefore will compensate for my previous median standard by ascribing your photographs a '10' rating this time.
In the future I will inspect each photograph, and really look for the beauty, design, and thought provoking composition that connects us.
Good idea!
I have only a question: how many photo did you take before taking this one with the word "loud" correct? Did you tied with a longer time of exposure?
Wow - what a great idea for this challenge. Might have a bit more impact with higher contrast, but it's a really nice photo that shows amazing imagination.
