Taken late on night on Dandenong Rd in Prahran.
hurriedly sat the camera on the track as the tram was rolling by.
Shot in raw, converted, not much processing.
I would like some feedback on this pic as my Main street image really tanked, and it was similar

It is always fun to see a scene in an unusual perspective, and you certainly did that here. When you say you 'hurriedly sat the camera on the track' I hope you were not endangering yourself. Actually, to get good images, when possible it is really best to take multiple shots and experiment with each one. I do understand this was the last tram of the night, but were there other occasions? All of this is just a suggestion, of course.
I'm afraid you were doomed by the puffs of blue/gray dust? steam? coming from the train. With the overall busyiness of the scene, that was, I think, especially confusing to the viewer. Then, I did try a couple of different crops on this excellent example of perspective. Perhaps removing all the left side of the image right up to (and just a little into) the track you set the camera on (thus eliminating unnecessary information) would concentrate the viewer's attention on what you want to emphasize.
Now that you are a member and can enter many more challenges, I look forward to seeing more of your work on DPC.
i tried something like this once and an amtrak driver brought his train to a complete halt to scream at me, i have no idea what he was saying as the engine was too loud but he sure was pissed!
