I went with a friend up to the Quehanna Wilds in Elk County, PA. I was hoping we'd have a little snow, and I could not have asked for a more perfect situation. A good bit of light fresh snow all over the ground and all through the trees. There were times we had to cover up the lenses and wait a few minutes for the squalls to stop. But it was worth the wait. I wish I could have spent all day there.
All editing in Lightroom:
I didn't realize when I was taking the shot that I had a close tree trunk on the left side of the shot, so I had to crop in on that side. That gave me the more square photo because I didn't want to lose anything on top or bottom.
exposure: +.8
blacks: 4
brightness: 56
contrast: 45
clarity: 100
Boosted vibrance to 100 to bring up greens, but that brought too much yellow to the trees, so I desaturated the yellows a good bit (-57)
