I cannot believe how poorly this has done! Maybe there are no rich tones - it's Winter!
Maybe there are just too many branches for a 800px max size.
Maybe it was just too much snap shot like... I loved this image because it stands for what the Winter in a northern european country looks like!
Subtle colors, absence of movement, "life" the quietness, and a hidden cabin.

I see some real work to give this scene a soft, wintery treatment, but I'm afraid it comes across to me as a little too low in contrast, and there's a lot of fine detail in the trees that wants to come out.
