Taken two days after Christmas 2009. It was one of those times where you see something you like and run back and get your camera. I love how the cats are nearly alternating black/tiger/black...oops...black...what are you doing there? Get to the back of the line where you belong. LOL.
I love this shot and wanted to give it a chance. I hope people appreciate the humor and score it fairly. It has an almost old school feel to it.

I'm so THRILLED with how well this photo is doing. Thanks to all of you for the awesome comments and votes! I'm also estatic that to this point 3 people liked it enough to "favorite" it. That really makes all of this worthwhile.
Currently sitting at my personal best with just over 6.2. Finally breaking the 6 barrier is a great milestone for me and I hope it's the start of a trend that continues forward.
Having my first 6+ score, by far the most comments and favs during any of my previous challenges...and having this occur during a "Best of 2xxx" challenge where the field is incredibly strong is a fantastic ending to last year and a great start for the coming one. Thanks again everyone for your comments and votes!

15 minutes left!
Thank you everyone for making this my most successful challenge to date! I just wanted to thank everyone again for the amazing comments (40), those who were kind enough to favorite the photo (5) and of course those that liked it well enough to make it my personal best! It's been a great week. Good luck to all!
Oh, and my cats deserve a lot of the credit and they will be getting extra treats from me after this! :)
Wow, I made the top 100 in a "Best of 2xxx" challenge! Thank You! :) To make it even sweeter and meaningful to me it's my B'day (29th) and a great present! ;)

7 - Ha. Wish the clarity was a little better.. but good little family portrait (just in time by the look of far left, but plenty of time by the look of far right). The b&w works well.
What a great moment to find and capture! All these cats slumbering in the window box is so adorable! The B&W treatment was, I believe, the best choice. Color would have been too distracting on the eye - this way the cats in the box (cat in the box...wonder if one is called Jack;-) ) are more prominent. Not to mention the details, shapes and textures in the environment of the shot is much more present.
