Very impressive! Is that fog on the ground? Looks quite surrealistic.
Post actions
Visual beauty, but there is a sense of spirituality in this scene as well, even without the title. 9
Post actions
wow, that's pretty amazing. Is this Iceland? the rock looks familiar
Post actions
Wow I never knew death could look so good.
Post actions
Looks as if the rock is sticking its skeleton head underwater, and peering at the photographer. Excellent smoothing of the water, and great colour. One of my favourites.
Post actions
Stunning and very surreal. Almost Salvador dali like. I have seen that rock featured in some other images here before.
Post actions
How interesting!! Is that a skull? From what type of animal? Beautiful colours and exposure.
Post actions
AAAhhhhh, it's moving towards me!!! No, wait, it's still...
Post actions
Weird proportions, not sure what's going on here, it feels like the whole landscape is being sucked into some sort of vortex. Perhaps it's just the cloud movement, perhaps I'm just up too late commenting, but it's one bizarre effect!
Post actions
Kinda bizarre, but a lovely setting.......7
Post actions
Very cool photo. Certainly makes me wonder if the skull was already there or if you placed it, but that's irrelevant. Nice shot.
Post actions
I'm not sure if the skull was placed for the shot or was naturally at this location. Either way this shot is excellent. I really like the colors in the sky with the almost silhouette of the rock formation. Spot on! BB
Post actions
What an amazing looking place -- looks like it was straight out of a movie scene! I love the color of the sky, and the skull gives it a rather mysterious feel. It would have been cool if the skull had been moving in such a way that there was a bit of a wake behind it. I don't know if that would have been possible (I'm sure it would have taken quite a bit of work to pull off), but that would have bumped this from a 9 to a 10 for me. This is my 4,000th comment at DPC... thanks for being my milestone photo comment! :)
Post actions
almost looks disconnected (head from body), beautiful color and processing...well done

Horse skull? When I first saw this I imagined it as an Icelandic dragon. 10
Post actions
The clouds really have a great effect.
Post actions
9 - Oh boy, this takes this familiar scene to another level - he has a friend now - I like the subtle reflection(s) in the moving(?) water - very dramatic image. I wonder about the right hand side of it 'pushed' a little more to balance out (especially sat wise) with the left, but maybe the way it dominates as is, helps the horse(?) take centre stage over the Icelandic Ice Age creature.

Wow, that's really, really well done. This score has been upgraded to 10.
Post actions
WOW !! a lot of wow factor all the way. I would have given this a perfect score if you had corrected for the perspective. Love it !! 9
Post actions
This is really quite an amazing juxtiposition of beauty and death, very well executed and totally strange. I like it!
Post actions
Creepy, Beautiful. It feels SCI FI. Like it.

Excellent long exposure. I like the giant prehistoric thing hanging out on the right.
Post actions
The skull makes this shot, very cool.
Post actions
stunning image fantastic colors and interesting setup
Post actions
Gotta love a good skull. Love the super slick water and the minimalist elements. Great colors.
Post actions
Love the long exposure on this, cant wait to see whos this is when the challenge is over. Hoping that you have some deatails on this whne the challenge is over. Loving the colors and the skull in the foreground. 10
Post actions
Great story for a beautiful place!! 10
Post actions
shades of 1970s rock album covers - (that means I like it!)
Post actions
Great diagonal line connecting the two objects in the water.
Post actions
Can i assume you provided your own fossil? Nice colors, composition and light!
Post actions
Post actions
Great colours, great composition.....maybe the rock is a little too far to the right, so an additional bit of space that side would have balanced the image better.........Clouds are really good and long exposure works well.
Post actions
I really hope theres some detail to this pic and also to the pp work. i cant but give this a 10.
Post actions
Post actions
Awesome. I hope this wasn't staged because it is so much better if you just found this and went with it. Perfect shutter speed and angle. Great photo.
