I was just reading an article about a guy who just shoots rodeos (Rangefinder?). You caught this at a perfect moment, with all fours off the ground and everything. Very nice!

This may be my challenge favorite, certainly gets one of my 10 votes. The only quibble I have is that the side of the horse seems overexposed, but not enough to hurt the photo. Otherwise top-notch clarity, action, DOF, color, comp...

Love the guys expression! Great stopped motion capture here, not easy to do under lights, shame about the jaggies in the rail under his arm. 8 from me.

Oh my goodness - the horse even looks surprised! It's actually a pretty sight - great job.

I absolutely love the captured facial expression of the cowboy riding this bucking horse! "Whoa, oh, man this was a BAD idea!" is what I hear in my head as I look at this shot. This is also a great action shot of this rodeo event. Love how the horse is caught in midair - it almost has this ballerina like pose (when the hold their feet pointed tightly together when the do a leap in the air)! Focus, color, composition and clarity are spot on!

I'm amazed at how poised and calm the horse looks compared to the somewhat terrified look of the rider. A fascinating photo!

Looks like the horse is floating, and looking toward the ground with a hint of apprehension. Great action shot.

Perfect timing and lighting even better. Lights camera action. Not even Hollywood could stage this better. Pole running through his arm only 1 point off. 9
