Many people wondered what this is.
This is the center of the roof (inside) of the CNIT building in La Défense.
It is the largest unsupported concrete span enclosed space in the world.
The center of the roof is about 45 meters high. To give you an idea of the scale, the red dot is a balloon that a escaped from a child.

I don't know what to make of this, I've come back to it about 4 times now and I really have to make a decision, it's an interesting abstract, a study in geometry almost, but I can't decide if it appeals to me or not!
I'm going to give it a 8, because I think it's a well executed, interesting "something" that got me thinking and coming back to it, so it definitely has more going for it than a lot of shots!
Very nice architectural abstract. It seems ever so minutely skewed, but this is a miniscule amount. Nice hues and textures. One of my higher votes so far.
I am just blown away by the calibre of images in the challenge... so many that I'm bumping up from 8 to a 9 or 10... and this is another that deserves 10... there's nothing wrong with it and all I can put the initial 8 down to... but at least I'm back to fix my earlier harshness. Colour, composition, detail, and artistic value... all great.
I am not actually sure what this is, but it gives me a sense of immense scale. That plus the really cool textures makes me think of some Michael Whelan paintings.
What amazing symmetry you have! Quite spellbinding actually. That one little red spot is probably getting lots of comments, it is so cool! The textures and composition are indescribably good.
from the thumbnail i'd thought at a leaf, nice shot, compliments, i like composition and simmetry here, good choice of colors... congrats, minimal but effective...
