Desaturating a white bird against a white brackground gives you a ......... white bird on a white background. That little dab of faded yellow around the eyes isn't 'standing out'.
Lovely image of this wonderful bird. Unfortunately there is little colour showing to get the desaturation theme across. All I see is a wee bit of yellow around the eye, I would hope for a stronger colour element. This would be a stunning completely black and white shot.
I gave higher scores for photos that had just a bit more "flash" of color. I had to go "looking" for the color in this photo... but maybe my computer screen isn't that great.
i am giving this an only average score, because altho it is a very nice shot of this bird, the selective desat element is really minimal and isnt playing much of a role in the image impact.
