Wherever this finishes, it is clearly the "Picture of the Year" for me. I managed to get it in front of the right eyes which has led to being able to shoot on the field and on the roofs during the Ducks games. I'm in discussion with U of O to have them sell copies. Woo hoo!
I snapped it at kickoff on the Oct 3rd game against WSU. Oregon won 52-6. While one would assume there was a ton of processing to make the sky look like it does (and there is some), it mainly was doing a manual HDR treatment which exposed the sky correctly to make the colors come out.
I'm a bit torn about putting this out there at 800 pixels, but I'm gonna go for it anyway.

I'm proud to say I was one of your 10's. Why this didn't get the blue is beyond me. The Mighty Fighting Ducks couldn't have a better photog, this is fabulous.
You were right about the amount of detail in the shot pushing the limit for an 800 px wide image. I can see where this one would make a superb poster at full resolution.
I think this is that guy who shot pictures at a football game and had a thread about it? Your pictures of the entire stadium including the sky are beautiful, about more than just football!
whoa - that's a spectacular view! I've never been to a live game because I'm afraid of so many people but this, somehow, looks doable to me.
Excellent job with detail and color.
Yeah! Too bad about the end of the season but the season was good over all.
Go Ducks! You sure had a great view for this shot and no rain!! The colors just pop. Good good work.
Lacks cheerleaders. Seriously and this is obviously just my opinion, I think you overcooked it. Also at this size you lose so much. I'm sure this would look a lot better as a print.
