I have taken a lot of pelican shots over the years but never been able to get the realism and drama you have captured witht this one. Beautifully done..hope you fare well with a ribbon! 9

Finding Nemo. This one and the other pelican shot are too funny!

Extraordinarily well composed, especially considering the pelican's actually alive......8

Unreal. Love the way this bird really dominates the pic not only in filling the frame but also dwarfing the boats and background. Im the boss here. Love it. 8

Before I scrolled down it looked as if the pelican was standing atop a boat! Awesome texture on it's feathers

Nice shot. I've never had the opportunity to photograph a pelican before.

this makes me smile...it looks like the pelican has a mini lunch of some boats...they are there for his/her picking...excellent detail and super good clarity

A very fine looking pelican and quite richly displayed in its natural environment!

Gosh, yet another fabulous Pelican shot in this challenge. Great textural detail. If I could change the perspective, those boats behind the pylon might be less of a distraction, but the bird is terrific.

Nice capture, good focus. I'd like a bit more area to the left for the bird to "look into."

I think a shallower DOF would have helped.

Nice shot. I feel the burn is a bit heavy handed.
