It's subtle, but I see it. The crop, to me, feels a bit "stagnant" as it is kinda tight.

Good vision in seeing the face! You got great even lighting and avoided any harsh shadows showing great technique though it is lacking in depth. I think it lacks a little of what flickr calls interestingness due to the whole shot consisting mostly of wood...
