This is Shore Acres State Park. Yes, that is real. In the winter, swells generated from Alaska head down during storms. This was an exceptional day. 18 foot swells with 10 food wind waves with a very high tide. The crash on the rocks which jut into the ocean (truly an "injured coast") leads to things like this which are literally 150 feet tall or taller.

Wow, that's a hell of a splash. Nice capture. What makes this photo for me is the guy in the blue jacket. It really gives some perspective as to the magnitude of the waves! My only criticism is that the foreground rocks appear a little over done with some sort of shadow/highlight tool or HDR effect. Other than that, great work!
After seeing so many images on the web, it is much rarer for me to think "wow" but on this I did. I also compliment you for doing it a manner that is irrelevant of it processing. Really cool shot.
WOW!! That is a WAVE!! What awesome power the sea has and how perfectly you have captured this explosive burst of thunderous water. The lone small figure in blue on the right hand side provides a real time perspective of just how massive this is. I LOVE this view.
