I would have placed this in the top ten for sure -- lovely clarity and DOF. I suppose the tilt hurt you with some voters.

I guess you had to crop it like that to remove something from the background but IMO it looks a little funny with the robin leaning backwards. That said good looking portrait, love being able to see the individual feathers on his chest. 8

Beautiful bird. Something bothers me about the way he is tilted back -- as if the photo needs straightening. He looks off balance. Still you have an excellent capture with beautiful color and detail.
