Taken at the Plaza Miranda in front of Quiapo Church in Manila, Philippines. These were children of the vendors around the plaza, and were just playfully sitting on the concrete floor, never minding the people around them.
PP: RAW Conversion, black and white conversion, and tone adjustments via Lightroom 2. Dodge/Burn, perspective correction and borders via CS3.

My apology to everyone who commented and voted on my entry. It wasn't my intention to cheat although no one really accused me of cheating, but having won a ribbon with an illegally post-process made feel bad. Sorry to the 4th placer who has now his well deserved ribbon. Without a shadow of a doubt, I initially thought that my PP are legal, after all burning and dodging is one of the most basic form of PP, for it only enhances whats in the photo, nothing added nor subtracted. Anyhow, again apologies to everybody.
I can just imagine that you did the same thing that I did on my seventh challenge entry. I completely forgot that it was a basic editing challenge and applied advanced editing steps to my enty. Just like you, I even detailed the steps in the Photographer's Comments box.
I'm sorry for your DQ, but as has already been mentioned, it is still a great shot.
Oh Dennis! Not to worry...your next one will be EVEN BETTER (if possible)...so we look forward to all of your future entries and seeing you many times on the front page.
1. You have someone looking into the camera.
2. You have background figures melding into the foreground figures.
3. You have powerlines.
4. You have the Posthumous Blue Ribbon.
This is just spectacular! I love the angle / point-of-view, but the borders combined with the POV make me feel like I am lying on the ground, half conscious (eyes squinted). Still, a SUPER image!
