Colusa (California) Wildlife refuge early in the morning. The mist was rising and the moon was setting. There was a magnificent sunrise in the other direction. Magical.

early in the morning in marshy areas as the sun comes up, mist rises and that is what this is. I could have waited for the mist to clear, but so would have the moon, as the sun would be high in the sky and the moon would be long gone.

Another reasons to stick with DPC. I could have been at this place, but never was inspired by my view. What you've done with this image will help me see what I look at. Thanks. Really like the look of the contrast of few colors.
The overly smoothed aspect of this image is a complete turnoff for me. It distracts the eye and gives me personally no feeling of anything. It seems there is great potential here for something grand. The colours could be something amazing, yet being overly smoothed they become flat and the detail is completely last.
