I find this comment to be quite interesting, as everything he does not like about this is what I found appealing about it. (Got a 9 from me, BTW.) That's what opinions are like, though, right? We all have one and when they converge, we get ribbons.
Creepy! I wish you had included a little of the surroundings, to give a feel of the "rural" setting. Your subject is really original (no barns!) and it could have done really well but I think you're gonna get pounded for not being rural enough...

This is absolutely superb in provoking emotional response. It represents decay in the rural environment but could also be interpreted as decay in an urban environment and even on other levels besides that. It struck me immediately as almost eerie, especially with the slipped right eye, the blind left one and the snow kiss on the mouth - the plant bit touched with snow is almost evocative of a tear. The tones in the face and the combination of dirt and innocense are quite disconcerting. WELL DONE.
