Great effect and color. Not sure whether it is the processing method used but it appears, to me, that the fly is superimposed onto the leaf. Good job. Well done. (Not voting)
The limited number of colors is excellent; makes the subject really stand out. As green is the predominant color, naturally some of it is reflected off the subject, and removing that would help to isolate the subject even more. Some more sharpening would be an enhancement.
before i started photographing insects i never even realised the diversity in the fly world .. some flies are very very attractive .... this one isnt so pretty, but those red eyes are amazing .. !
its a great shot .. i love the contrast between the eyes and the greenery all around him .. anyway i'm just looking thru the challenge .. not voting .. :)
