for me I can't see enough detail in this shot...

The black and white works extremely well on this because it makes the ice patterns very abstract and the textures stand out. The black bands are dynamic and create a sense of horizontal movement with their curves and undulations. The centre V pattern is symbolic of Victory - may it be so.
