Well, this is just a very close handheld shot of Miniscule's eye lashes.
Note: lens was an old Konica Hexanon 40mm F1.8 mounted on a 1cm extension tube. Aperture is a complete guess because I got the nasty habit of removing the aperture stoppers from all my Konicas so now they the aperture ring works continuously. Since I used step down focusing, I only have a wild idea where it stopped.

Not that the focus point was a choice (using a MF lens with Live View with an extension tube on a 4 months old is basically a game of chance) but I quite like it this way. In this case and IMHO the lashes are more interesting than the eye.
Nice. At first it looks like you missed the focus but upon further viewing this really stands out as a unique macro of the eye region. My highest scoring image so far.
I was just going to say your eyelashes are exactly what I'm looking for...but my main focus is on the "eye" itself...and that area is blurry...it should have been super clear...and your picture could use some straightening IMO
