I cut and pasted every dot on the van and on the model.
I have finally got a bit of time on my hands to start to enter challenges again.
I like the way this shot turned out. It was nice to get my van out for a spin. I had put it away for the winter. Now I have to peel all the dots off her and put her back to bed. The van i mean, The model (my daughter) can stay up a little while longer :D.
Thanks to Dan for posing as the Umbrella man
Hope this does well

brilliant. so much patience goes into your work. i like that the umbrella man, to me, is the guy always waiting for the sky to fall. but in this one, he runs into unexpected good luck.
Congratulations on the win. This is a fantastic, quirky shot, with a great triangular composition which keeps the eye roving around the elements. I love it. Also the effort you put in to achieve this result is deserving of the win too.
so imaginative, so incredibly good .. so coley .. !!
your title is inspired .. well .. it seems that so much you do is ..
congrats on the blue and your new pb .. :):):)
And Coley hits it out of the park!!!! Congrats on your new PB! Great work as always and like a truly crazy artist you go nuts and paste dots all over the van;-);-) I knew this would do well - and like I said, I love umbrellas (have nine different ones with different patterns and shapes:-) )
Awww noooo..... leave the spots on, the Van looks great !!! A fine photograph, even the lowest troll only gave it 4 (which I think in Troll land is the equivalent of 11)
Great that your hard work paid off, Coley. Fantastic image and a very worthy blue, congrats. Btw, I agree with Sue about the gallery series, maybe you should give it some thought.
Very appropriate for the character. You know this one will do well, they always do. I'm curious if you painted the van especially for this challenge topic, or if that's the way it was.
First thought - I wonder how darn long it took to stick those spots all over the van? Second thought - a very interesting photo that tells a story and is on the whimsical side. Love the spots everywhere on the van, the woman's jacket & hat, and the umbrella (I'm a sucker for umbrellas). The B&W tones are very dynamic and the contrast really pops off the page. The hat, the umbrella and the anonymous man in black (no face showing to identify a specific person) has many Magritte characteristics. The storytelling quality of the photo also has the signature Coley style too:-) Excellent work on this one! High marks.
