IMO, the focus should be on the wick whereas here it appears to be on the base of the test tube. Also, there is a curious blue highlight spilling from the bottom right of the test tube which is a litte distracting.
The glass that's heating looks strange, like there's hole in it and solidish fluid is making its way out. Flames would enhance the shot, or if the liquid was boiling or something. But an overall cool photo nevertheless
