Great pose, great lighting. I'm really digging how the light spills over his face, and I'm really digging how the book is so bright, bringing emphasis to it.

One thing bugs me though: By virtue of being in sharpest focus, and by virtue of being the biggest, brightest thing in the frame, this man's shirt kind of tugs all my attention to it. It's an interesting shirt, but I'm not sure it's what the shot is about.

For such a simple image, there is a lot going on here. There is a certain softness to the model that really makes the texture in the background pop, plus the expression is perfect. I don't say this often, but this is a 10 in my book.
