I don't get the blue at the bottom - seems unnatural and steals my view of the rest of the shot.

I have some problems with your shot. I don't like how some of the for ground is unnaturally blue. You lack detail in the trees this may just be because you were shooting into the sun. Also I don't know what is happening behind those trees. Have a look at some of the other entries to get some ideas on how to improve.
