This is my first submission to DP Challenge and feel like I have a long way to go, but you have to start somewhere.
I played with the saturation to bring out the deep green of the mondo grass, in contrast with the greys in the background.

The harsh lite is a distraction Try covering the shooting area to block out the sun . Then boost the levels and contrast and saturation of the overall image in PS. I like the textures in the shot.

Centered composition - yes. Subject interest - weak. This image holds no interest to a viewer. Work on creating images that draws a viewers attention.

Meets the challenge, but to be honest, it's not terribly interesting. I don't really have any suggestions that could help it either.
