I like the silhouette composition, however, if it wasn't for the title, iwould think this would be somewhere in the US or Mexico. Great sky and tilt add some interests as well.

So a streetlamp is the spirit of Italy? Oh wait, there's a christian cross in the background. OK, so it's not a strong conveyance of the message but it's there. Great tones.
