Need for DOF for me or a tighter crop with only the focused part in the image.

I love your choice of subject for the photo. However, there are 3 recomendations I would like to give you. 1) Isolate the flower from the background, ether by having it sitting off the material or closely cropping the photo/zoom in 2) Play with your depth of feild - more of the cymidium should be in focus - but make it a focal point. 3)The flash needs to be defused (bounce it of a large piece of card) so you reduce the shadows and or through paper (tisue/grease proof)
