Sharon...congrats on your HM! As soon as I saw this photo...I just LOVED it! You captured the essence of this moment to perfection! Very well done and straight into my favs! ;-)
I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here’s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite
Welll.... initially I thought the dog wasn't posed (as it were) that well but then the emotion of this photo hit me, closely followed by the composition hotly pursued by skill of the exposure. This is a truly lovely photograph, the sort that will colour the way I feel for the rest of this day. Keep that camera out in ready in this place, I'm just thinking a bit of the dogs face would make an allready wonderfull image even better.
So much emotion here. Great shot. Love the three individual personalities working together in this. Technically it could be a little more, but the overwhelming emotion you captured more than makes up for it. Well done.
i like the spirit of this image, but the way that the horse has his head makes it look as though it is disembodied, which twists it a little towards the spooky side of things...
