This is my buddy James (aka Keiomi). I was sitting around one day and thought of the idea but with a girl in a white dress but when I posted on Facebook that I needed a female model he posted to ask if he could do it instead. I'm glad he did because I love the way this picture turned out. The only thing I wish was different was the sky. I wanted an orangeish-reddish sky.

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for my Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: The colouration - this really makes the image special; it really works. I like the way it's all about the guy but it's all about the landscape and the sky too. If someone had have given me a verbal description of the image, I'd have said that it wouldn't work too well - I'd have been wrong.
Critical stuff: Nothing at all.
Overall: Fantastically well conceived and well executed to boot. Great stuff.
This photo leaves me wanting for a larger, more detailed subject. What are those teeny tiny objects that he's throwing away? One looks like a briefcase, which I was only able to deduce from the title of the photo. The second, that thing trailing from his body, I have no clue what it is. Is this a story about him, or about the sky? I'm not interested in the sky at all in this shot.
