Good job on this sharp action image, I like the crop, but I would have straightened out the grass or even tilted it the other way slightly to give the horse even more angle.
Great photo. I think it's a stretch on this particular challenge. If it were somewhere else, I would definitely give it a higher score. I love the composition and this particular shot has so much action to it. Sorry to give you a 6. Great shot, wrong challenge.

On the merits of the photo, good focus, action captured, nice settled tones on main subject, sky too light for me (damn isn't nature a b!@#$ for not giving you aqua blue?) but shutterspeed a tad too slow as right gloved hand blurred. I beleive in stopping the action dead in it's tracks or not at all.
