A couple of my lovely wife's "Inca Jewels", recently cut from our garden. She grew all these awesome sunflowers this year, a couple of which found their way to our PC desktops in digital form.
This image was very simply lit, with a 580EX II bounced off a small gold reflector. Post processing was super-minimal, USM and a tiny touch of curves to bring the background to total black. Is this too pedestrian for the challenge? We'll see....I've seen still-lifes do well in this sort of challenge, but it's usually dominated by B&W portraits.
