Monarch on a butterfly bush. Not too many more butterfly days left in 2009 around here.
Like this one for the unusual body pose and the light on the butterfly. And the bokeh.
Late afternoon light, very little PP; this one looks oversharpened but it's not!
PP - levels, shifted greens a little greener, dodged head, increased contrast, resized, teeny bit of USM, added border.

Great sharp macro - I think the bokeh may have been even more effective with a wide open aperture though.

this has some nice focus and colors, i like the crop and bokeh. i think it would be better with the butterfly at a different angle though. 6

Great depth of field here, really making the subject jump out from the background. The colours ghere are really good, and the composition I feel works really well.
