This, to me, isn't very interesting, but I think I get where you were going with the vertical lines. Perhaps get in closer to get rid of the extra stuff, only showing the slats of the fence. Step in and get a bit more parallel to the fence? :) Hope this is helpful.
Good to look at things in a different way or a different perspective, as you have here. Meets the challenge but lacks a bit in interest outside of the challenge format, perhaps.
