Compostition is good, but the lighting seems to soft, giving the corn a fuzzy appearance. Play with the lighting, maybe raise it to a 45 degree angle from the horizon.

while this is a nice close up, I tihnk it is a tad dark for my taste. The focus is also a tad soft. the angle and framing/cropping are good however, and I really like the subject. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
