This image is part of a documentary photo project, which can be seen at: //scenemonthly.my-expressions.com My overall intent is to record views from a Colorado mountain trail, during the different seasons, including both landscape and macro studies. At the altitude of the Threemile Creek Trail, which is renowned for its abundance of wildflowers, spring has only barely arrived as yet.
This specific photograph was one of the first taken in the early morning of a complete day spent on the trail - and captured using the Tv shooting mode with a -2/3 stop exposure compensation, and recorded in RAW format. It was downloaded and converted using the Breeze Systems software toolkit.

Nice colors. For me, too much detail is lost in shadow and glare. If you have a camera that takes 12 bit raw, you can use curves or level blending to regain quite a bit of the detail. A 6.
