Royal elk with BG in focus and subject OOF. This is exactly opposite of normal operating procedures, but, it IS what the challenge calls for. Not too enthusiastic about this. I don't think the image transcends the concept to become abstract enough.

Truly outstandingly missed focus, easily the best "rats I missed that one" of the group (so far anyway!). I don't know if it should be a 1 or a 10 so it must be perfect...10!
I hate to say it but the blur doesn't really add to the subject or make it compelling. A lot of entrants in the Challenge blur their subject but to no effect where I can find useful to the image. Is this Alaska?
