This was the result of a sentimental journey to my old place in Short Beach Conn, where my wife and I lived for 15 years. I used to keep my own somewhat less picturesque boat in this same little bay. The boat was picturesque, the light and water were clear, so I snapped it. The original photo was cropped and I did some work with adjustment layers.

Team sports without players was the last competition. You shouldn't rely on your title to convey the concept of the photo. This doesn't really convey "waiting" as a concept. Nice picture, just not a real "waiting" photo - just my humble opinion.
