Nice owl. White background? Clipped wingtips. Pretty good detail. Not a great subject for HDR, because birds move a lot, which may explain some fuzzy feather areas.

great photo! i abstained from assigning a number to it because i couldn't tell if it were hdr. i am confused by the 'high key' and if it could be both and i don't feel qualified

Doesnt really speak to me, though I do like the colors on the bird. But the whole owl looks a little under-contrasted to the background. Nice HDR

A good realistic use of the techniques. Not sure if a bright white background was the best choice for the subject, but that's a personal preference, I think.

I shall be rating this challenge by the following criteria:

1 - Not HDR in my opinion

3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion

5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion

7 - A reasonable use of HDR, and an engaging photo, in my opinion

10 - A fantastic use of HDR, and an out of this world photo, in my opinion
